A tug of war, won by Luis

The lead changed hands 5 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Luis won at a stroll, with 108 points and 29 clear of the rest. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Luis said and... hoped. It didn't hold. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. Luis cried laughing 6 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

GIBO took second with 79 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. GIBO said they'd take nothing in the six-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ionela completed the podium with 67 points. The last hand decided it: Ionela went past Elena right on the line. In the third of the middle eights, Ionela bid 2 and took 7 — and GIBO went down with it.

Last, but with style: Elena, with 64 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the last of the middle eights: Elena said 2, scooped 6, and Ionela was left counting the pieces. Elena was ahead of Ionela right up to the last hand.
