The comeback of Ioana

9 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last place: Carmen, with 88 points. Carmen was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 90 points. Mihai got past Carmen at the very last hand. In the fourth of the opening eights: Mihai said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Radu.

Radu finished 4th with 105 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Radu was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 120 points. In the fifth of the middle eights: Ana said 1, scooped 5, and Carmen was left counting the pieces. The place above was a single point away.

Elena led for 10 hands but finished second, 8 points behind. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ioana gathered 129 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! Ioana only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
