TaNE takes the table

The cards were dealt, and so were the nerves. Here is the story.
TaNE won the game with 139 points. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
CATA led for 17 hands but finished second, 7 points behind. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.
Edy rounds out the podium with 114 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Edy broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
In 4th place, Teo, on 103 points. 2 hands in a row: Teo broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the fourth of the closing eights, Teo was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Neither at the front nor at the back: Gabriel in 5th, with 102 points. The comfort zone. The last hand decided it: Gabriel went past Padre right on the line. The place above was a single point away.
The tail of the table: Padre, with 95 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. Padre was ahead of Gabriel right up to the last hand.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
