The comeback of Vyce

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Luis took last place without any nerves at all, on 56 points. After the seven-card hand on the way up, Luis was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. The second of the closing eights: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew at Luis 🪑💋 — the table couldn't decide whether it adored them.

Third, and on the podium: PaulP, with 73 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, PaulP said and... hoped. It didn't hold. PaulP was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Ionela led for 10 hands but finished second, 0 points behind. Level on points with Vyce, and behind only on the tie-break. In the last of the opening eights: Ionela said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Vyce. In the second of the closing eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Ionela: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Vyce finished level and took the win on the tie-break: fewer broken contracts. Whist rewards the player who keeps their word.
