Kiki, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 41 slips at the table and scores from 93 down to 40.

Kiki finishes on 93 points, 22 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Ana took second with 71 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Mihai rounds out the podium with 67 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the third of the middle eights: Mihai called 4, took 7, and Ana and Kiki were left out in the cold.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 40 points. In the last of the opening eights: Elena said 3, scooped 6, and Mihai was left counting the pieces. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone — and especially Kiki!
