Mihai comes back from behind

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

Mihai takes the game with 128 points and goes home happy. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Second place went to Elena, with 121 points. Elena got past Matei at the very last hand.

Matei completed the podium with 116 points. In the second of the closing eights, Matei bid 0 and took 4 — and Luis went down with it. Matei was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand.

Luis finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 106 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Luis was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Mara finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 105 points. The place above was a single point away. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mara was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Last place, with dignity: Vyce, with 91 points. Somebody had to do it. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Vyce said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Well played everyone — and especially Mihai!
