The comeback of Alina

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

PaulP took last place without any nerves at all, on 58 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. PaulP, hard luck. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, PaulP said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Bot rounds out the podium with 80 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Bot left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Luis finishes second, 4 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. In the last of the opening eights, Luis bid 1 and took 5 — and Bot and PaulP went down with them. Luis was ahead of Alina right up to the last hand. Luis cried laughing 6 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

First place, no appeal: Alina, with 98 points. Alina only went in front at the very last hand.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
