Alice never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 68 of them around the table, and scores from 116 all the way down to 58.

GIBO took last place without any nerves at all, on 58 points. In the second of the closing eights, GIBO bid 0 and took 5 — and Alice went down with it. 2 hands in a row: GIBO broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. In the fourth of the middle eights, 2 chairs flew at GIBO within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Claudiu in 5th, with 79 points. The comfort zone. After the two-card hand on the way up, Claudiu was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. In the last of the closing eights, Claudiu was showered with 2 kisses in a matter of seconds 💋.

Neither at the front nor at the back: 10plus in 4th, with 88 points. The comfort zone. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: 10plus plays right down to the last card.

Third, and on the podium: Adrian Gh, with 93 points. In the third of the closing eights: Adrian said 3, scooped 7, and GIBO was left counting the pieces. Adrian cried laughing 14 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

CCC took second with 95 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. CCC swore 0 in the fourth of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Alice wins by 21 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
