The comeback of Ana

Neither at the front nor at the back: Cristian Imparat in 4th, with 115 points. The comfort zone. In the fifth of the closing eights: Cristian called 3, took 6, and Elena and Ioana were left out in the cold. After the five-card hand on the way up, Cristian was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena rounds out the podium with 118 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Elena was even in front after the second of the middle eights.

Ioana took the runner-up spot with 123 points. In the last of the closing eights: Ioana said 0, scooped 3, and Ana and Mihai were left counting the pieces. Ioana was even in front after the five-card hand on the way up.

Ana gathered 129 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
