The comeback of CATA
6 players · 28 October 2026
The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Last place: TaNE, with 86 points. In the third of the opening eights: TaNE said 0, scooped 3, and GOLE was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, TaNE said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
Padre finished 5th with 94 points. One card, a single card, and Padre still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.
In 4th place, GOLE, on 105 points. After the three-card hand on the way up, GOLE was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Third, and on the podium: Edy, with 126 points. In the first of the opening eights: Edy said 1, scooped 4, and Padre and TaNE were left counting the pieces. Edy was ahead of Teo right up to the last hand.
Teo led for 15 hands but finished second, 21 points behind. Teo got past Edy at the very last hand.
CATA finishes on 151 points, 21 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 14 good hands in a row — at one point, CATA was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
