Elena comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 36 slips at the table and scores from 92 down to 70.

First place: Elena, with 92 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Elena was even last after the third of the middle eights, which makes the win all the sweeter. At one stretch, 6 good hands in a row.

Mihai led for 13 hands but finished second, 9 points behind. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.

Ionela rounds out the podium with 78 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the third of the closing eights: Ionela called 0, took 5, and Sebi was left out in the cold. Ionela was even in front after the first of the closing eights.

Last, but with style: Sebi, with 70 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. After the two-card hand on the way up, Sebi was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
