PaulP comes back from behind

2 points. That's all. PaulP won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. It didn't start well — only 5th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, PaulP was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Coca finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Coca was even in front after the second of the middle eights.

Third, on the podium: Cristian Imparat, up there with eyes on the top step. The place above was a single point away. Cristian spent a good while in last place and climbed out of it.

In 4th place, Matei, on 102 points. The last hand decided it: Matei went past Mara right on the line. After the second of the closing eights, Matei was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. In the fourth of the middle eights, 2 chairs flew at Matei within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Mara finished 5th with 102 points. Level on points with Matei, and behind only on the tie-break. In the fifth of the middle eights: Mara said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Coca and PaulP.

Ilinca took last place without any nerves at all, on 87 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ilinca was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
