The comeback of Luis

The lead passed from hand to hand, 10 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 64 points. In the first of the opening eights: Ana said 1, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Elena. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Elena completed the podium with 86 points. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. Elena was even in front after the first of the closing eights.

Mihai finished second, just 3 points short of the win. Mihai was ahead of Luis right up to the last hand. Mihai was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Luis won by a whisker, with just 3 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. Luis only went in front at the very last hand. In the last of the opening eights: Luis called 0, took 3, and Ana and Mihai were left out in the cold.
