The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.
Ana takes the game with 140 points and goes home happy. In hand 16, Ana bid 2 and took 6 — and Mihai went down with it.
Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Emi, with 125 points. Emi said they'd take nothing in hand 6... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
Third, on the podium: Elena, up there with eyes on the top step. In hand 3: Elena said 3, scooped 7, and Emi and Ioana were left counting the pieces. Elena was even in front after hand 7.
In 4th place, Radu, on 93 points. The last hand decided it: Radu went past Mihai right on the line. After hand 23, Radu was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
In 5th place, Mihai, on 88 points. Mihai was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.
The tail of the table: Ioana, with 84 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. 14 broken contracts, collected like stamps.
