The comeback of Ana

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 43 points. In the last of the opening eights, Elena bid 5 and took 8 — and Ana and edge went down with them. 3 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: Ioana, with 78 points. In the four-card hand on the way up: Ioana said 0, scooped 3, and Ana was left counting the pieces. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

edge finished second, just 3 points short of the win. edge was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way up.

Ana won by a whisker, with just 3 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
